David and Anne founded the Ennis Gourmet Store together in 1997, bringing their shared passion and extensive backgrounds in food to the community. David worked as a Maitre D’ in Michelin-star restaurants across France, England, and Ireland, while Anne brought years of expertise from the Irish food industry after receiving her diploma in food science in 1983.
Sadly, Anne passed away in 2025. Her vision, warmth, and incredible knowledge remain at the very heart of the business she helped build.
Today, David continues their shared dream. Alongside a dedicated team of three employees, he runs the shop with the same commitment to bringing the best of Irish and continental foods to our broad range of customers. Hampers have become an integral part of what we do, and what truly sets us apart is our ability to tailor-make a hamper for any occasion, price point, and content preference.
Our shop remains an Aladdin’s Cave of delights and treats, sure to please even the most discerning customer. And with David’s French heritage, you can always trust us to source the finest wines for your palate.
